Schalk Neethling is a highly experienced and enthusiastic Java standards based web developer currently located in South-Africa. He has been working on the web for the past 6 years developing and designing web sites for clients around the world.

He has extensive knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JEE, JSP, PHP and more. He is actively involved in the open source, standards and accessibility community.

Schalk Neethling is also the lead developer and creator of two open source projects. AlliedBridge, a standards based and accessible CMS system, built with Java on the Spring framework as well as a open source document exchange and review system Doc-Central, also built in Java.

Schalk Neethling is constantly reading, researching and following up on the latest technologies and trends in the IT industry. He also posts to his blog volume4.com and is also the founder and co-president of the non-profit, The South African Web Standards and Accessibility Group (SAWSAG) at sawsag.co.za. This group aims to promote the adoption of web standards and accessibility by developers and companies big and small.
